I’ve been coming here for years now. Everyone is always so friendly and helpful! From Jennifer, the front desk manager, to Cindy and Dr Romanoff. I’ve never been so satisfied with a dentist. They take the stress away from being at the dentist! I always recommend this dentist to anyone who needs one!

TMJ Evaluation

The first step in any TMJ treatment plan is to determine what is actually causing the pain. Is it arthritis in the joint? The result of an injury? A misalignment of the bite? Determining this answer will help us figure out the right solution.

Occlusal Equilibration model

Occlusal Equilibration

When the bite is misaligned, this can cause the jaw to make small adjustments whenever you open and close your mouth. These can put quite a bit of strain on the joint and muscles, leading to TMJ pain. With an equilibration/occlusal adjustment, we can slightly reshape a few key teeth so that the bite is perfectly aligned.

Custom Occlusal Splints

Each splint is custom-made for every patient, and they work by slightly shifting the jaw into a physiologic rest position. Over time, this will enable the muscles and joint to heal and find this new, healthier orientation on their own.

Meet Dr. Romanoff

Dr. Romanoff brings over 10 years of experience to our dental office, and she comes all the way from Karaganda, Kazakhstan! She is currently living her dream as she knew she wanted to be a dentist from the tender age of 10. She has been practicing in the U.S. for about 5 years, and her favorite parts about being a dentist are enabling her patients to overcome their fear of dentistry and educating them about how oral health connects to overall health.

After graduating from the Karaganda Nursing College, she attended the Karaganda State Medical University before finally graduating from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine. Afterward, she went on to receive additional training in both laser and implant dentistry.
